Reply with quote | #4 | Hi Everyone!
Just reading a few notes to get caught up. Krissy there has been at least 2-3 cases of melanoma, but the cancer was present before the tysabri was taken it may of enhanced it some. Things have been just a little crazy here. Two weeks ago I found out I have Lung Cancer. I've had all the test done have had one surgery Monday that took bits and pieces of my lympnodes. Thursday the 23rd i believe I will go in and have my upper right lobe removed. I will have chemo and rad after. I believe it was caught soon. But I will have to stop my Tysabri infusions. BioGen has been in contact with me and so has the FDA. I'm not saying the Tysabri had anything to do with it, but it may have enlarged it. But on the other had if it wasn't for the safety precautions of the infusion center this would never have been caught. The doctors believe this is treatable and I believe them. I believe all things happen for a reason, and I won' t be going Thur this alone. The lung surgery itself is at least an 8 to 10 weeks throw some chemo on there and it will be winter again. I will let you guys know what it going on and if they will determine the cause or not. But its all good.
Best to Everyone and when I get out of my morphine high I will drop a line

Reply with quote | #6 | Hi Everyone, I haven't had a chance to post because the other morning on our way to work not but a few miles down the road WAMMMMMMM! Three deer decided to jump from the woods to cross the road. First was the female, next came a huge buck with antlers about 10' long which we hit. Felt like 1,000 lbs. Like a Semi-Truck it hit so hard. Hit the front end, flipped on it's side, dented the hood, antlers took out the windshield (glass everywhere) tossed onto the roof and rolled over the trunk onto the road. Not only did we hit one but the car behind us hit another. $4,000 in damage to our car. Of course of all times to have to come up with the $500 deductible. Not a good time considering I'm part-time and business is VERY slow. Everybody keeps saying things will pick-up but we just keep hitting hurdles and nothing is improving. Listen to me, am I selfish or what? Here I am with an f-in deer and Jill has just been given such news. Was the news given like my doc told me I have MS. I was devistated and he acted like it was a cold. Jill I'd stay on that Morphine high if I could the way things are. I just want to shut down and never come out of it. But we can't do that now can we? You sound so positive and hope you know we will listen to our heats content if you need us. Talk Soon Diana |

Hey Gang; I'm with Lin Jill. You do what ever it take for you to get better. The main thing is don't give up. If one thing don't work try something else. It look like sometime if we didn't have bad luck we wouldn't have any luck. To me it run in spells. I get along good for a while then it look like every that I put my hands on turn to crap. Diana Out here in the country we got to be on the out look for deer's all the time. Especial going out early in the morning or coming in after dark. A few year a go I had a doe deer run into the side of my truck. I had seen the deer coming across the field and had slowed down to may 20 or 25 miles. The next thing I know the one I was watching ran across in front of the truck and the second one that I didn't see ran right in to the left side of the truck. Right after that my brother was coming down the road and he seen a couple of deer's that was going to cross the road in front of him. I think there was 3 of them. All 3 got across the road with out any trouble and 2 jump the fence and went on the third one ran right in to the fence and broke her neck. I was kind of glad cause it was some good eating. You never know what a deer is going to do. You just have to be careful and keep your eyes open all the time look out for them. Roy |

Diana I agree with Lin. Part time work is better than no work. You hang in there and keep on look for something better. Sooner or later you will find something better. I think things are going to pick up next year. It will take that long for the money that the government is giving out to get in the system. In the mean time on your days off look for a part time job to fill in for the days that you don't work at your regular job. I got a friend who got laid off from her job so she started cleaning houses for people. When the job that she got laid off from call her back she said thank but no thank. She could make more money cleaning houses that she could make doing secretary work. And the best part of it most of it is cash so that she don't have to report all of it. It something to think about. Reply with quote | #13 | Thanks Lin, Thanks Roy, I appreciate your support and confidence. Roy, if I could stay on my feet long enough, I would clean houses. It takes everything I have to do laundry and clean my house. I wouldn't last cleaning other peoples houses. All I know is computers and office work. I have to find something where I'm not on my feet so a desk job is all I know. Onward and Upward! Talk Soon Di |

I didn't mean for you to clean houses Diane. What I meant was to look around and may you can find a second job to take up the slack when you are off your regular job. You might find some business that need a part time book keeper. If you was around here I could get you a job like that in a min. My neighbor own a construction business and he was tell me last week that he need to hire some part time help to help his wife do the book work. That is what I was talking about. Roy |

Reply with quote | #15 | I know whatcha mean and I've thought of it and search the jobs for it too. I was really hoping to be back to full-time on a regular basis by now but no such luck. I have been full-time for the last month but stressed every day knowing that I have to ask "Can I come in tomorrow?" The shops around us are closing left & right. Not much is left. This is so sad.
