I think gas is now more expensive than the price of ABCR's!

I agree with you Lin. It's absolutely crazy will they ever go down? It cost me $32.00 to fill my tank last week, which is more than my $25 copay for Avonex!!! |

Reply with quote | #6 | Since last week it look like we done caught up with the rest of you all. Today it was $1.979.
Up 8 cents since last Saturday morning.
This is one race that I don't want to win.
As for you question Krissy. In my option yes it may go down some but I think now that they got it around $2.00 I think it going to stay there.
I hope that I wrong.

Reply with quote | #7 | My Opinion on Gas Prices-
I have a feeling they will never really go down again , they will be up & dip & WAY UP , until about October, when they will "mysteriously" drop significantly right b4 the Election in November! (Sorry to be so cynical, but stuff like this has happened aroun holidays TOO many times b4. With a big election ahead, why should it be any different? )

Reply with quote | #8 | I agree with you 100% Sandy. Especially with the election ahead and the war things aren't going so good right now. If you remember back in the 70's when we had a gas short and we had even and odd days to buy gas. I was working at a service station. If I remember right gas was .399. It jump to .749 in a couple of months. Then it feel back some but creep back up to that 75 cent price range. People got use to paying the higher price and didn't complain so much. I might be wrong on the gas price but you get the picture.

Reply with quote | #9 | I don't have a crystal ball, but in the U.S., we have been paying much less than other countries for as long as I can remember! That doesn't mean I want to see the price increase as it has been doing this year. I bought gas yesterday for $1.929 in Central Texas; however, the lowest price was at Sam's Club or Costco where it was $1.779. I wonder what we, or our children or their children, will do when there is no more oil to pump from the earth? Robert |

Boy, do I remember those long gas lines & the "odd/even day" thing!! We lived in Virginia, just outside DC then, had 2 little kids, worked part-time, which was good since I had the time to load the kids in the car & sit in the car & sit in the gas line for 1 or 2 hours, waiting just to fill up!! I'd take along a book or knitting & give the kids toys to keep them occupied! And the fights between drivers if they thought somebody cut into the line!! I remember sitting in long lines, just praying they wouldn't post an "Out Of Gas" sign right b4 you got your turn!!! Remember all the controversy about whether you used more gas by idling slowly while in the line or stopping & restarting it every time you got to inch forward??!!! WOW!

Reply with quote | #11 | Hi Everyone,
Here is Ohio it's around $2.10 last I checked. I remember just a few weeks ago when it was around $1.95 at one station and about a mile down the road was $1.89. I drove the extra mile just to get the $1.89. I had only $20.00 and it only filled half my tank. Come-on Bush, get with it. I don't want to start a political battle with anyone but I think he's done a great job! Not that I agree with him on everything, but he's started this endeavor and I don't think we should put Kerry in there to screw things up like Clinton did when he took office.
Anyway, just keep thinkin' "It can always be worse". Hope everyone has a great week.
Bye Bye

Reply with quote | #12 | Hi All!
I've found a station that had gas for $1.999 - since that is somewhat of a bargain these days, I filled my van up and it cost me $48.00 (OUCH!). The worst part is that it will only last 4 days .
I'm with you Diana, I think Bush is doing a pretty darn good job and I DEFINITELY don't want to see Kerry in there. I actually went and registered to vote for the first time in many years because I also feel like we'll be back at the same garbage Clinton was pulling. I detest liars, and I have not yet found that Bush has lied to us - he's come right out and said that he can't talk about some things because it would put some of our troops in further danger. I like that commercial against Kerry where he is shown saying "I actually voted FOR that before I voted AGAINST it". Hmmmm... maybe we should keep people out of the white house who can't make up their minds.

Reply with quote | #15 | Boy Sandy you brought back up a lot of stuff from them hay days of odd/even days. Like I said I work at a service station. It was about was about 150 miles south of DC. I remember one time we had to call the cops to break up a fight between to people. We were in a small town and would have given him gas anyway but the funny part was that they had been neighbor and grew up together. To this day they still don't speak to each other cause one said the other cut in from of him.
Yes Robert I think we need to get off depending on forgin oil. With the technology we have these days open up the lands that is off limited to oil drilling. That a short term fix.
Next we need to work on our automobile. I thinking hibert with the fuel cell or even Batteries power. Hibert car are getting 30 to 40 miles to a gal. and batteries car are getting up to 200 miles on a charge. If you not close to a place where you can get a charge then you out of luck. I admit that they not for everyone and they cost between $2000.00 and $3000.00 more. All the car companty are coming out with then. You are hearing more about them on the even news now. One companty that I watch in the market is Enova System , Torrance, California. The reason I like them is that working with Ford, Mack truck, the U.S. Air Force and a lot more big names. So it look to me that everyone is getting concern about this oil deal.
Sorry about running of so much.
Sometime I think I got too much spare time on my hands since I see my name posted on here more than any one else.
